Children with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders often undergo numerous medical procedures which can cause stress and anxiety for the child.

Please join representatives from the nursing and child life staff at the Thompson Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center at CHOC, as we discuss commonly ordered medical procedures and offer solutions to reducing stress and anxiety for the child. Preparation strategies such as medical play and how to advocate best for your child will be discussed.

This education series is for parents only. Childcare will not be provided.
